Hello, I'm Jace.

I am a recent Penn State graduate seeking a position as a UX designer.  My passion for UX originated from my frustration with poor user design in video game interfaces and website navigation.  When building a product, the target consumer needs to be able to learn and use the product effectively.  I love the idea of putting the user first, it's something many companies fail to do in today's age. Some of my hobbies include video games, tabletop games, and staying up to date on the latest news in technology.  I look forward to becoming a part of your team.

Education

While studying at Penn State Behrend, I earned a B.S in Psychology focusing in Human Factors and a minor in game development.  I learned a lot throughout college but the biggest takeaway is the ability to see the world through different perspectives.  Using psychological perspectives gives you a completely different view of the world.  It also helps with understanding the people around you.  Being able to take a step back and analyze the person and the situation.  It's helped me in my personal life more times than I can count.  I believe my background in psychology will be invaluable for any UX project.

Experience

After graduating I wanted to gain better skills to become a UX designer.  This led me to complete the 'Google UX Design Professional Certificate' through Coursera.  I learned the fundamentals of UX design and the design process.  I also learned and conducted UX research and completed a mock project from start to finish.  You can find my projects
